After another year of record revenue growth, Founder and CEO, Brian
Scudamore announced today that the popular junk removal service
1-800-GOT-JUNK?, will expand into Sydney, Australia by the end of 2005.

Australia will be the company’s first International Franchise to open outside of the United States and Canada. While expansion of the service has reach an all time high of more than 200 territories, the
company’s executives believe the business is finally ready to grow beyond the North American market.

“Everybody’s got junk”, says Scudamore, “and we’ve proven that in North America. We are now and now ready and confident that the business will work on global scale.”
“It has always been our vision to expand internationally,” adds Scudamore, “but we’ve taken our time researching where the best initial market would be.”

After examining demographics and waste statistics in countries like Britain and New Zealand, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? executives agreed that Australia was the natural choice. The Australia market not
only supports the population requirements to grow the business, the Australian concern for environment also shows promise for a service like 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, which donates all possible items to charity and recycling facilities.
