Clients of the Neosho Crosslines Ministries received a special gift Tuesday afternoon - food.

“We collected nonperishable food from the Curves For Women members as they brought in the food and donated it during the National Curves Food Distribution,” said Jeanne Lessman, Curves of Neosho owner. “Since we started on Feb. 28, we have gathered more than 1,000 pounds of food.”

The nonperishable food consisted of boxed products, canned food, beans, cereal, syrup and other nonperishable food. And the business will be taking donations until the end of March.

Curves of Neosho members, numbering more than 200, could pick a organization to donate the food to, so they chose Neosho Crosslines Ministries.
