The concept offers a 30-minute, circuit training and cardiovascular workout. The company has a second concept, Cuts for Women, which targets women with a 30-minute workout, as well.
What kind of franchisees are you looking for?
Early on we’re looking for individual franchisees, and in certain areas, five countries, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Ireland. This is not like a sub sandwich. This is all about service, and you have to say hi and welcome to my facility. That comes more from individual owners—that’s what we’re finding out now. Where do you see growth for your system? JG: We think we’ve found a void in the women’s market. There are probably 12,000 locations for women-only facilities, but there is a specific audience, a little younger, a little more hip, but they don’t want to go to the big-box gym, either. Have you added staff as you’ve grown? We started out with two staff members and have grown to about 10 people. We’ve used outsourcing as an option for IT, legal and accounting, for instance. It’s very difficult to bring in your own people. I’ve been very happy with the outsourcing we’ve done, and I will continue to use it at this stage. http://www.franchisetimes.com/2005Grew.html
