GNC supports Jeremy Bloom in his quest for Gold in Torino
< International >

February 22nd, 2006

Jeremy Bloom is one of America’s greatest athletes and GNC Corporation is proud to be associated with him.

Bloom will compete for gold in freestyle skiing this month in Torino, Italy as part of the U.S. Olympic Team. He has been a dominant force in the sport for several years, winning six consecutive World Cup mogul championships in one season and winning the 2002 and 2005 World Cup Grand Prix overall titles. When he competed in the 2002 Olympic Games at age 19, he was among the youngest members of the U.S. Olympic Team.

Bloom’s rise to the top of freestyle skiing followed an unusual path. As a freshman and sophomore at the University of Colorado, he was an outstanding punt returner and wide receiver for one of the nation’s best college football programs. But following a much-publicized effort to remain eligible for college football while competing in professional skiing events, Jeremy was forced to focus just on skiing. He plans to enter the 2006 National Football League draft following his attempt to win gold in Torino.

GNC sponsors Jeremy and helps him train—and maintain a healthy lifestyle—by providing him with safe, high-quality nutritional supplements.

GNC, based in Pittsburgh, PA, is the largest global specialty retailer of nutritional supplements, which includes vitamin, mineral and herbal supplements, sports nutrition products, diet and energy products and specialty supplements.
