The International Franchise Association (IFA) has named John Squires of Media, Pennsylvania “Franchisee of the Year.” Squires, the owner of a Home Helpers/Direct Link franchise,was honored for his outstanding performance and also for his contributions that have enhanced the growth and development of franchising.

Home Helpers offers in-home, non-medical services for Seniors, NewMothers and others needing assistance at home. The company provides personalized care packages customized to an individual’s hourly, daily or weekly needs. Services include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, transportation, laundry, recreational activities and more. John Squires’ compassionate Caregivers provide services to clients in Western Delaware/Eastern Chester counties.
In business for five years, Squires’ Home Helpers franchise has more than 140 Caregivers. According to Squires, each Caregiver must meet rigorous employment criteria before being hired. Caregivers are then matched to a client after extensive in-home consultation.
