Intercontinental Hotels Group Continues Expansion in Latin America

Miami, Fla- InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) continues the expansion of its Holiday Inn brand in Latin America with the opening of a 105-room 11-story Holiday Inn Express in Puerto Montt, Chile.

Situated directly on the ocean in the heart of the city's shopping district, Mall Paseo Costanera, the Holiday Inn Express Puerto Montt, is the 29th hotel opening for the Holiday Inn brand in Latin America. It is also the seventh Holiday Inn Express property to open under a franchise agreement with Talbot S.A.

Puerto Montt, known for its rich natural beauty, has a population of over 110,000 that is mostly Chilean but have ancestry that came from Germany or Spain. Their influence can be seen through the city's beautiful architecture and exotic cuisine. Visitors of Puerto Montt can enjoy several artisans' fairs throughout the year as well as the stunning National Parks, such as Vicente Perez Rosales National Park with its unforgettable Cruce de Lagos (Lakes Crossing), and Alerce Andino National Park with its ancient larches. Puerto Montt is also renowned as a starting point for numerous cruises.
