Pizza Patrón opening dine-in location in Texas

Pizza Patrón, the premier Latino pizza brand, opened its second Waco, Texas location on Dec. 19, 2005. The restaurant seats 36 with additional seating for carryout customers.

The store, located at 1427 S Valley Mills, is owned by Mike Moore Jr. and Sr. of OPC, LLC. The Moore’s also own the other Waco location and have a location under construction in Killeen, Texas.

"We’ve experienced great success in connecting with the community at our first location,” said Moore Jr. “We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to create the same connection with the Hispanic community at our new location in Waco.”

The restaurant is about 1,500 sq. ft. and will incorporate the same vibrant, energetic Latin atmosphere that is a signature of Pizza Patrón’s carryout stores. Custom art will feature stylized photography, with inspirational testimonials of individuals who are expressing the “Llegale!” (go get it) spirit in their lives. “Llegale!” is Pizza Patrón’s long-term brand campaign theme and reflects the mindset of the company. A large mural also adorns the interior creating a distinct ambiance in the dining room.

The store will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Call-in orders can be placed by calling 254-752-4545.

Pizza Patrón was founded by Antonio Swad in 1986. Since franchising began in March 2003, the brand has gone from four locations to 141, either open or under development. Pizza Patrón features fun and festive carryout-only pizza stores that are community based in Spanish speaking or predominately Hispanic neighborhoods and recently added its first dine-in location in May 2005. All pizza dough is made fresh throughout the evening; no preservatives are added or needed. As well, the sauce is prepared fresh in the stores from crushed Roma tomatoes and only 100 percent mozzarella is used.
