| Sonic Announces Election of Board Members < International > February 4th, 2006 The nation's largest chain of drive-in restaurants, announced
that Kathryn L. Taylor has been named to its Board of Directors. Her election was announced at Sonic's annual stockholders' meeting, which was held earlier this week. Re-elected to the Sonic board for three-year terms were directors Mike Maples and Frank Richardson. Taylor served as Secretary of Commerce and Tourism for the state of Oklahoma, a governor-appointed post she held since 2003. She recently resigned her state position to seek election to the Tulsa mayor's office. As Secretary of Commerce and Tourism, Taylor oversaw state economic development and tourism agencies and represented more than 2,000 state employees. Prior to serving in her state capacity, Taylor spent more than a decade in the travel industry as a senior officer of a "Fortune 100" company.
