Calzedonia was founded in 1986 close to Verona, in Vallese di Oppeano, with the aim to create a new way of selling hosiery and beachwear for women, men and children through a sales franchising network. About 20 years later the Calzedonia network can boast of more than 1000 shops throughout the world : Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey.


Turnover has increased continuously from more than 77 million euro in 1998 to more than 400 million euro by the end of 2004. The success of Calzedonia is the result of a number of factors : the huge range of products, the great attention paid to fashion and the unbeatable quality-price ratio, there are some of the features that have enabled Calzedonia to satisfy even its most demanding customers.
