Card Connection was established in 1992 by Simon Hulme, and within a few years grew to be the largest and most successful company supplying greeting cards on a consignment basis. In 1995 we became Full Members of the British Franchise Association.

We are regarded as one of the best run franchises in the UK today, and around 50% of all franchisees joining our network are former customers. We operate throughout the UK and Ireland, and also have franchisees in Australia and Malta. In total we have around 110 franchisees and service around 17,000 retail outlets. Many of these customers are major retailers.

Because the networks in the UK and Ireland are complete, the only opportunities available are to acquire a developed territory from an existing franchisee. These vary in price according to their level of development. There are normally some opportunities in most parts of the country.

We have a highly experienced Business Development team who provide ongoing support to our franchisees. All franchisees are allocated their own manager who they can contact whenever the need arises.

Each year we hold an annual conference, and also organise other meetings and training throughout the year.

Franchisees do not require any prior experience either of the greeting card industry or of sales and marketing. Existing franchisees have come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Full training, covering all aspects of the business, is provided by us to all incoming franchisees.
