The Il caffè di Roma Company sells and serves coffee, tea and chocolate as well as other products such as refreshments, artisan ice creams, etc. However the main attraction of our establishments are our different coffee varieties with distinct appellations of origin.

Il caffè di Roma was born in July 1994. It was the brainchild of an Italian entrepreneur who brought all his know-how and coffee culture to Barcelona, where he opened an establishment that managed to revive the atmosphere of the cafeterias of the past and which was warm and inviting in every respect.
In September 1999 the Lavazza Group, the leading Italian coffee trademark that commercialises its products in over 75 countries, acquired 100 % of the Il caffè di Roma company. Its objective was to promote the concept, backed by its longstanding experience in the coffee sector, and to make our establishments absolute leaders in the Coffee Shop sector.

The cafeteria is decorated with noble materials, brick walls and countless accessories that have something to do with coffee. All this contributes to create a harmonious and very warm atmosphere. This very innovative milieu is further enhanced by a small shop within the establishment where customers can also purchase the coffee or tea of their choice as well as other products from the world of coffee.
The quality of our products and our constant strive for improvement explain why we face the future with a large dose of realism and optimism. We are aware and convinced that the success of our franchisees is crucial to the success of our Company.

Il caffè di Roma runs its own Training Center where training sessions are held concerning the product, the machinery, service and sales procedures. Training is then completed at one of our Pilot Centers which are run by the chain’s training support team.
There are also specific training sessions for each of the different levels of personnel of the Franchise. There are different sessions directed at Franchisees, Managers, Supervisors and Waiters. The training sessions involve both Theoretical and Practical Training for each work post.
During the training period franchisees will be given a copy of the Franchise Operations Handbook that contains all the know-how of the business which they can freely consult whenever they wish. The contents of the Operations Handbook are explained in detail during the Training Center sessions of the Franchise Central Office in Barcelona.
