The initial founder operated the first branch that serviced the Western Suburbs of Sydney, NSW with the depot located in Plumpton. With the enormous response achieved through radio and direct mail another 3 branches were opened in the first year. Further franchises are being opened every month somewhere in Australia or New Zealand. With over 17 franchises just in Sydney, we are now responsible for over 10,000 parties per annum
All franchises throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Perth, Geelong, Wollongong and Central Coast have been strategically placed to maximize some of the best hire rates anywhere in this country. We offer the same hire price for a castle in over 82% of metropolitan areas that we service, giving customers a better deal, greater choice and overall, an attitude in business and service greatly missed in this fun kiddie party market.
After years in the entertainment business we have built up a network of other business providing great service in the party and entertainment industries.

Jumping J•Jays started in 1997 to provide an extensive range of inflatables to capture the backyard party market.
The company is a leader and innovator in backyard inflatable entertainment. Through product innovation and design John Newton single handedly created what is now widely know as the “combo” castle featuring both a jumping room and bouncy slide.
Now the company is the largest of its kind in the world and founder John Newton has been recognised by the International Inflatable Products and Games Association as its first international board of director’s member.
Presently there are over 30 franchises across Australia and New Zealand.
Franchised in 2000, today Jumping J•Jays has more than 500 castles throughout its franchise network. Expectations for continued growth is staggering. The company has expansion plans to grow by 30% each year to 2008.
The company’s growth was recognised in 2004 by BRW’s inclusion of Jumping J•Jays into Australia’s Top 100 fastest growing companies.
So successful is the franchise that John has been honoured 2 years running by the Franchise Council of Australia as Franchisor of the Year Home-based and Mobile. “Franchisees run their business primarily on Saturday and Sunday. Current Franchisees still work full-time in their usual professions,” says John. “This makes the business a great additional income earner that for many becomes another full time wage.” “Adding up the benefits and looking at the bottom line you can continue your day job and turnover around $80,000 per annum on the weekend.”
“Many franchises are achieving well over 100K per year,” continues John, “with no shop rent, no debtors, no working capital, and best of all no major staffing headaches. Simple fantastic business.”
