You are looking for a franchise opportunity with lots of potential, consider the opportunities in the automotive aftermarket repair field. Annual sales in North America are nearly $193 Billion … and growing!
Even though new car sales are strong, the average age of our vehicles, 9.8 years, continues to increase. That means we’re keeping our cars longer and increasing the lifespan for automotive aftermarket repair service needs. This also means there are increases in franchise opportunities for professional auto repair and maintenance facilities and people like you to be your own boss!.
There are over 5000 automotive aftermarket repair franchise opportunities in the marketplace and Meineke is clearly in the top flight!

In 1972 in Houston, TX, Sam Meineke began with only one store and a single product line. He also started with a simple concept: He would provide quality products and workmanship at a fair price and fix folks’ vehicles correctly, the first time. Today, still based on Sam’s ideals, Meineke is one of the most recognized and trusted brands in North America.
Between 1983 and 2003 Meineke was owned by a multinational British company and grew rapidly. In July of 2003 Meineke was the subject of a stock purchase agreement for its acquisition by members of Meineke management and two financial partners, Carousel Capital, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and The Halifax Group, based in Washington, DC, and Dallas, TX, from its then owner, Brambles.
Earlier in 2003 Meineke Discount Muffler Shops, Inc., became Meineke Car Care Centers, Inc. After 32 years as one of the most recognized and trusted brands in America, it was the perfect time to change to a name that was more reflective of the company’s comprehensive service offerings. The name change also included a new tagline, “Right Service, Right Price.”
The ownership and name change has positioned Meineke for further growth into previously under-developed markets and for solid growth in same shop sales.
Presently, there are approximately 900 Meineke franchises throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, Guatemala, Venezuela and the Caribbean, with plans to keep international expansion going strong. Recognized as one of the largest automotive franchises, Meineke franchisees have serviced more than 50,000,000 vehicles since starting out in 1972.

Training
Meineke University offers a four-week franchise training program in Charlotte, NC, that will teach you necessary management and technical skills for your Meineke auto repair shop franchise. Hotel and travel expenses for up to two franchisees who originally sign the franchise agreement are included. Meineke has one of the only electronic interactive training programs in franchising. Ongoing auto repair shop franchising training in the field is a major objective of our Operations and Training Departments. In year 2000, more than 24,000 man hours of training were provided in the field
Support
Meineke's commitment to its stores is shown by the size of its Operations Department. With over 20 Field based and in-house Operations Managers, the company is able to provide on-site support for all of its retail stores. The field and in-house operations support team comprises the largest Meineke department.
Their commitment to retail store support is shown through Meineke's extensive business and technical training curriculum. Last year the company provided over 30,000 man hours of training to its franchisees and in addition provides over 70 courses on-line through our "Meineke University" available 24x7.
Occasionally store support is needed instantaneously. Meineke's Technical Assistance Hotline responds to over 7,000 calls per year from franchisees and their technicians needing quick information and/or technical advice.
