In 1987 several new companies organized themselves as “Murphy Bed Centers of America®”. In 1996, the franchise name Murphy Bed Centers of America® was renamed as “The More Space Place”.

More Space Place differentiates itself from the other Murphy Bed and closet companies by featuring a full range of “space saving furniture” displayed in showrooms where customers can see and feel the product. The stores feature bedrooms, closets, home offices, garages and pantries displays with accessories, such as computers, printers, scanners, canned goods, laundry detergent, snow skis, bikes, ironing boards, clothes and shoes. This real life feel can help the customer visualize what these products would look like in their home.

Franchisees start-up package includes financing options, site-selection support, showroom design and specifications, product selection, lifetime owner and personnel training and a product line with thousands of variations. Additional support provided for furniture selection, start-up, accounting setup, product knowledge, sales training, advertising and marketing.
