SIGN-A-RAMA Starts Franchising – First locations Hicksville N.Y. & Bohemia N.Y.

1988 : 50th Store opens and first store in California opens.
SIGN-A-RAMA Staff works first franchise show in New Jersey and add 20 stores during this year.
Regional support offices open in Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Atlanta, and San Francisco.

1989: SIGN-A-RAMA Relocates World Headquarters to a 5,000 square foot office building in North Palm Beach, Florida.
Regional support offices open in Los Angeles, Texas, and New York.

1990: SIGN-A-RAMA is introduced into Entrepreneur Magazine’s 11th Annual Franchise 500
100th Store opens.
Introduced use of flatbed scanner to replicate logos vs. hand tracing, known as “digitizing”.

1991: SIGN-A-RAMA releases “Speedy Price”, The 1st computerized pricing software in the sign industry.
SIGN-A-RAMA makes Entrepreneur Magazine’s 12th Annual Franchise 500 “Top 250 List”.
SIGN-A-RAMA corporate office has e-mail address for support purposes, and launches its first on-line support service, a modem-based bulletin board service exclusively for franchisees. The 1st sign franchise on the Internet.

1993: SIGN-A-RAMA releases “Speedy Source”- its own computerized vendor resource guide to all franchisees.
SIGN-A-RAMA Corporate moves to a prime location in West Palm Beach with over 7,500 square feet of offices and training school spaces. Also, added a 3,000 square foot warehouse facility.

1994: 200th store opens.
SIGN-A-RAMA opens a Master Franchise in Dominican Republic, the first international store.
Regional support offices open in St. Louis and Seattle.

1995: SIGN-A-RAMA launches its corporate website www.signarama.com.
SIGN-A-RAMA opens Regional Office and first store in Canada.

1996: SIGN-A-RAMA hosts our franchise owner conventions’ in both Orlando and Los Angeles.
300th store opens
Regional support offices open in Detroit, Toronto, and Vancouver.

1997: Introduced use of digital cameras in sales and production efforts, standard equipment for all new franchisees.
SIGN-A-RAMA hosts it's first “World Expo” in Las Vegas.
SIGN-A-RAMA is included in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 18th Annual Franchise 500 “Top 100 List”.
SIGN-A-RAMA opens corporate offices in Australia and United Kingdom, to support future international growth.
SIGN-A-RAMA grants master licenses to New Zealand and Panama.
SIGN-A-RAMA host it's first UK franchise owner convention in Birmingham, U.K.

1998: 400th store opens.
SIGN-A-RAMA hosts it's first Australian franchise meeting.

1999: 1st Sign Franchise to introduce “wide format printers” as standard equipment for franchisees to open store.
1st Sign Franchise to open in Asia- Beijing, China.
SIGN-A-RAMA has it's second World Expo in Las Vegas.
SIGN-A-RAMA grants Master License to South Africa.
SIGN-A-RAMA corporate office expands to over 11,000 square foot space.

2000: SIGN-A-RAMA launches EmboidMe, an embroidery franchise, by opening a company owned store in West Palm Beach.
500th store opens.
SIGN-A-RAMA is ranked as #1 Sign Franchise in the World, in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 21st Annual Franchise 500.
SIGN-A-RAMA establishes C.A.R.E. (Catastrophic Aide Relief Effort) to help Hurricane relief in Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

2001: SIGN-A-RAMA launches Global Accounts Program.
SIGN-A-RAMA implements new front lobby package in Schedule A.
15th Year Anniversary of franchising - SIGN-A-RAMA Day proclaimed by Mayor of West Palm Beach, Florida.
SIGN-A-RAMA grants Master Licenses to Turkey, Netherlands, Mexico and Guatemala
"SIGN-A-RAMA Scholars Program" is introduced in Detroit Northern High School. The program is designed to enrich students' growing business skills with a hands-on learning experience.
SIGN-A-RAMA is "the 28th fastest growing franchise" ranked in Entrepreneur Magazine’s “Fastest Growing Franchises”.
SIGN-A-RAMA pioneers another unique community concept called the “The Lighthouse Project,” which focuses on helping of mistreated women through constructive business practices.

SIGN-A-RAMA and EmbroidMe add Billboard Connection to Franchise Family.

2004: SIGN-A-RAMA #1 Sign Franchise in the World as indicated by Entrepreneur Magazine’s 25th Annual Franchise 500 listing (5th year in a row!).
SIGN-A-RAMA selects Roland Soljet EX Series as their preferred digital printer worldwide.
SIGN-A-RAMA establishes Charities of Choice to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Junior Achievement, and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
SIGN-A-RAMA and EmbroidMe President, Ray Titus, receives distinguished Arthur E. Turner entrepreneurship award from Northwood University.
SIGN-A-RAMA awards Master License rights for the South East Asia region to include Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Burma. Also grants development rights for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden , Finland, Saudia Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, and Nigeria.

2005: SIGN-A-RAMA #1 Sign Franchise in the World as indicated by Entrepreneur Magazine’s 26th Annual Franchise 500 listing (6th year in a row!).
World Franchisors is created to help other franchises expand internationally.
SIGN-A-RAMA holds World Expo in Las Vegas, the event raises over $25,000 for Charities of Choice.
SIGN-A-RAMA awards Master License rights to Romania. The first sign franchise in Eastern Europe.
SIGN-A-RAMA, EmbroidMe, and Billboard Connection purchase their second building--- 42,000 square feet of training facilities, warehousing, and offices.
New company name is created to incorporate SIGN-A-RAMA, EmbroidMe, and Billboard Connection, and World Franchisors--- UNITED FRANCHISE GROUP.
SIGN-A-RAMA and EmbroidMe collectively have donated nearly $100,000 benefiting local and national charitable causes.

One of the things you’ll notice about all SIGN-A-RAMA franchisees is that they have an uncommonly high degree of expertise about sign-making and operating a business – an expertise they gained through our four-step franchise training program, which many say is one of the most extensive in the franchising industry.

Your SIGN-A-RAMA franchise fee entitles you to:

- A two-week introductory training program at our corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida (including travel and lodging expenses), where you'll learn the ins and outs of everything from sign production to bookkeeping.
- A week with your own SIGN-A-RAMA mentor, another franchisee who will allow you to spend time at his or her store putting your classroom training to use.
- An extended visit at your store from one of our experience field representatives, who will help you set up your equipment and continue your training on-site.
- A visit from a SIGN-A-RAMA marketing representative, who will show you how to promote your business and provide you with printed promotional materials and an initial marketing mailing.

Plus our regional offices are always available to provide additional training to you or your employees free of charge - and to provide you with the ongoing guidance you need to grow your business.
