Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits plans to open its 17th area location in Lansing in June. A new location recently opened in Liberty. The area franchisee, Heartland Chicken Inc., also closed its location at 3900 Broadway when its lease was up after 20 years of operation. It is looking to open a location nearby with a larger building and parking lot.
