Casual dining restaurant company Brinker International has signed an agreement with Top Down Enterprises to develop five new Chili's Grill & Bar restaurants in the southwest Greater Toronto area including Brampton, Hamilton, Kitchener, Mississauga, Richmond Hill and Oakville.

Under the agreement, Top Down Enterprises (TDE), a new franchise partner of Brinker, is expected to develop all five restaurants by 2013.

Greg Walther, president of global business development for Brinker International, said: "As Brinker continues disciplined and aggressive international expansion, we continue to look for areas with great growth potential, and Toronto certainly provides us with such an opportunity.

"Our Chili's brand already has a presence in Saskatchewan and Alberta, and now we're excited to work with TDE to bring these restaurants to the largest city in Canada."
