< International >

June 15th, 2006
Burger King Corp. (BKC.N: Quote, Profile, Research), the world's second-largest hamburger chain, on Tuesday named Chuck Fallon president of its North American unit.

Fallon will report to Chief Executive Officer John Chidsey, with whom he worked at Cendant (CD.N: Quote, Profile, Research).

It was not immediately clear if Fallon was replacing someone in the position or if it had been unfilled. He will join Burger King on June 19.

Fallon most recently served as executive vice president of revenue generation for Cendant Car Rental Group Inc., the parent company of Budget Rent A Car and Avis Rent A Car.

Chidsey was named Burger King's CEO in April after serving as chief financial officer. Before he became CFO, Chidsey had served as president of the company's Americas and North America units.

Before he joined Burger King in March 2004, Chidsey had been chairman and CEO for two corporate divisions at Cendant, including the Vehicle Service Division, which includes Avis and Budget.

Shares of Miami-based Burger King, which went public in May, were down 26 cents at $17.75 in early trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
