Just because you are Canadian doesn´t mean you can´t invest in a franchise. Many franchises are actually Canadian-based, and those that aren´t can often be found expanding into their northern neighbor. So, if you are interested in a franchise that you haven´t yet seen in Canada, that doesn´t mean it isn´t available.

Perhaps the best way to find out if a franchise is interested in moving up into Canada is to just ask. You might be surprised to find that many are already available in the North. And the territory is ripe for the picking, since many franchise opportunities are relatively new to the area and you won´t have as much competition, which is always good for starting a business.

There are also plenty of established Canadian franchise opportunities to look into and these are a better choice if you are uncomfortable with being the first in your area. An established company will already know the rules and regulations of working in Canada and you won´t be breaking new ground, which can be frustrating at times as everyone is learning the ropes.

Canadian franchises are an excellent option if you live on the other side of the border. There´s no reason you can´t have a business just because you aren´t American.
