French supermarket chain Carrefour is planning to open a store in Iran and it is thought the outlet could open in the middle of 2008, reported ArabianBusiness.com. Meanwhile, the Majid Al Futtaim Group, which runs Carrefour’s stores in the Middle East, is also looking at entering the Iranian market and the CEO of MAF Shopping Malls, Graham Dreverman, said the group is unlikely to be deterred by steep land prices.
