Owner/operator of the franchise, Kathy Cooley said the studio provides a fun, friendly atmosphere where in just 29 minutes women of all fitness levels can improve the way they look and feel about themselves.

"Our workout routine is called circuit training, which is designed for quick results. A member will rotate through our twenty-piece circuit for a 29-minute period," she said.

A cue tape, musical with verbal cues, announces when it is time to rotate to the next machine or jogging station every 45 seconds on the studio's stereo system.

The Contours Express facility has 10 exercise machines that are adjustable to the individual's needs and work every major muscle group, 10 jogging mats, an air bike, rebounder and an elliptical machine for warming up.

Workout cards with clipboards are available for members to carry with them from machine to machine to record their weight and repetition improvements.

Her interest in the national women's exercise franchise started when she visited Southern California and stopped by a Contours Express studio in Northridge.

"I had so much fun doing it, I decided to open one here," she said.
