InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG.L: Quote, Profile, Research) will soon announce plans to develop with a partner an $800 million resort in Orlando, Florida, that will include its largest hotel, the online edition of the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

Citing a company executive, the Journal said the resort will include a 1,260-room InterContinental, where nearly half the rooms will be condominiums that will be offered for sale. It will also include nearly 1,000 traditional condos in five 18-story buildings.

The resort, scheduled to open in 2009, will be built and owned by Hospitality Development Group Inc. and managed by InterContinental, the Journal said.

InterContinental officials could not immediately be reached for comment
