McDonald's Corp. shareholders on Thursday backed a proposal urging the board of directors to seek shareholder approval for large severance agreements with senior executives. The shareholder proposal, which was opposed by the board of directors, calls for shareholders to review packages that give executives benefits greater than 2.99 times the sum of the executive's base salary and bonus.
