Pizza Hut parent reports 11% gain < International > May 2nd, 2006 Yum Brands Inc., parent of fast food chains like KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, on Monday reported an 11 percent gain in first-quarter profit, beating Wall Street predictions amid double-digit growth in its U.S. and China operations. The company posted net income of $170 million, or 59 cents a share, for the three months ended March 25, compared to $153 million, or 50 cents a share, in the year-ago period. |
