The German shoe manufacturer, Salamander, (230 sales outlets) has gone into voluntary liquidation. The company was taken over in 2003 by Garant Schuh Mode Ag, a purchasing central controlled by 4800 retailers (1 000 of which are in France) who have also gone into voluntary liquidation
