Tesco enters software market < United Kingdom > November 2nd, 2006 Tesco is to launch a range of own-brand computer software that will offer customers more choice, accessibility and unbeatable prices in the fast-growing computer software arena. It is the first time a retailer has released afully branded softwarerange, including support andwebsites to rival the big, existing companies such as Microsoft, Symantec and McAfee. The top quality software range, which has been specifically developed for Tesco, will initially include six titles – an office suite; two security / antivirus products; a personal finance tool; a CD/DVD burning tool and a photo editing tool.
