Gold's Gym, a US based gym chain, has opened its first franchised outlet in Jalandhar, India. The outlet was opened by franchisee Amolok Singh Gakhal. Gold's Gym is currently setting up a gym chain in India, with one gym opening every two months.

Additionally the company is establishing an international franchise network and at present has locations in 30 countries.
