FranchiseCircle.com is a social networking tool using interested in second life. This use is intended to allow for virtual franchise expos and while I really have no interest in opening a franchise or selling franchises I do feel that this use of second life for simulation is intriguing.What other environment can be simulated for a real business gain? In the simulation of a real world franchise there is the strong case that could be made that a virtual tour could be in effect better than the real thing. The walk through could be very realistic and the drill down of information could be virtually endless. If one wants to learn how a task or operation works they could simply perform the task of interest in second life.
